Meet Emma
Emma is a qualified and registered integrative psychotherapist and bodyworker. With a background in yoga teaching, she has long apprenticed to the body’s innate intelligence and self-organising capacities, and this remains the foundation of her work.
Motivated by the dysfunctional state of the mental health care system and its treatment models which fail to address the root cause, Emma immersed herself in the study of health and wellbeing from a holistic, integrative and relational perspective.
Whilst studying integrative psychotherapy in Melbourne, she found the Australian Shiatsu college, and discovered a fascinating intersection between the body, psychology and emotional healing. Back in London, she studied craniosacral therapy with experts and visionaries in the field including Howard Evans and Hugh Milne.
She recognises the power of ritual, art, non-ordinary states, movement, meditation, and dreamwork in exploring the realm of the subconscious. She is deeply influenced by Buddhist thought and practice.
She practices in both Warrandyte and Northcote.
Testimonials
“I’d like to express my gratitude to Emma for the positive impact she had on my injured body through her wonderful therapeutic sessions. Her skills, tailor-made techniques, and her encouraging lifestyle conversations, have motivated me to embark on my own recovery journey, despite complex underlying conditions. She has made a huge and commendable difference in my life.”
— Mahesh, Melbourne
“Over the years I’ve experienced a variety of yoga classes with different teachers, but Emma is something else. She has a delightful, soothing manner that really added to the benefit of the postures and it was so helpful to be reminded of the power of slow, gentle movements and listening to your body.”
— Julie, Oxford
